Roxanna MinnonaYoni Yoga – Tantric breath and Bliss Activating Session for Women Roxanna draws on a variety of techniques, woven together in a unique style that blends the deep spiritual experiences from Tantra into a daily yoga practice that supports women to heal and nurture themselves on all level. “When we stop all the doing and controlling of the breath, the breath begins to breathe you, that in and of itself is orgasmic” Shantam Nityama The Yoni Yoga practice is part of the Dancing the Divine journey. It takes us deep into the womb, understanding and sensing ourselves from a feminine standpoint. Recognising and embodying ourselves, ‘she’ begins to open in unexpected & in seemingly miraculous ways. Women's Healing Space and Discussion Women carry an inherent, infinite capacity for orgasm, manifestation and healing. Sadly, their natural potential has been neglected due to repression of the feminine energy and a lack of sexual understanding in our world today. This has contributed to the confusion, and pain that most women experience. Incorporated in sacred rituals, the work takes women deep into her subconscious, unlocking the trance patterns that can govern our lives, thus altering our state of perception and realigning to the vast reservoir of our creative inspiration and true beauty. During this guided discussion/workshop we will take time to explore the specific interests of the group, giving space for sharing, questions and answer as well as experiential exercises - Bodywork-Movement–Meditation. Byron Bay based Roxanna Minnona created Dancing the Divine in 2002 and has been weaving the Global sister web ever since - facilitating in the UK, USA, Europe, South Africa and Australia, mentored by Tantra Master Shantam Nityama. After 8 years of facilitating this work internationally, Roxy has returned home to Byron Bay and turned her focus to developing Starseed Gardens community (www.starseedgardens.com) in collaboration with a group of people who are deeply devoted to birthing the new paradigm on this planet. |

DarpanHealing Sound Visionary Voice -- Activating the Third Ear Darpan utilises live and recorded music, visualization, and guided imagery, pure tones, crystal singing bowls, gongs, bells and other generators of Harmonic Resonance. When we combine these elements with a specific intent we are initiating a Sacred Journey. By listening with awareness, we ride the carrier wave of sound into a deep interiority where personal boundaries dissolve and we emerge in the One Heart of Existence. The energy that we gather in this process can be used to heal, to delight the senses, to manifest our highest truth or to penetrate the silence. Over the years he has been experimenting extensively with these tools and has found them to be amongst the safest and most effective means of altering consciousness and for reconnecting us to the reality of our multi-dimensional identity. They also have the wonderful side effect of tuning the energy body and cleansing the auric field. Darpan is a modern visionary and urban mystic. He travels extensively around the world delivering seminars, playing concerts and facilitating Shamanic Healing Retreats. He is a synthesis of his teachings and is an inspirational speaker and gifted musician. He has spent several years studying the art of meditation in India and later lived and worked with various shamans and healers in Brazil, Ecuador and Peru. Further studies include Transpersonal Psychology and the teachings of Dr. Stanislav Grof. He is also deeply influenced by Taoist philosophy. In his presentations he weaves together 30 years of experience in consciousness research, vibrational healing and the shamanic arts, creating a unique transmission that enlivens and transforms. Darpan is a spontaneous and engaging speaker with a natural flair for embellishing keynote speeches with interesting stories, anecdotal references and rich personal experience. Margaret Cross & Shane HuebnerPlant Medicine and the Path of Heart - How the Teacher Plants are Aiding in the Evolution of Consciousness This workshop will include an over view of the global phenomena that is the Plant teachers and the powerful role they are playing in peoples roads to personal and community healing and expansion. We will be sharing stories from the road with the Traveling Medicine ceremonies and the powerful shifts in consciousness that they are facilitating in people from the age of 17-70. Circlespacesandbeyond and the Traveling Medicine Ceremony are the visionary creation of Margaret Cross and Shane Huebner. They have been called to work with the Master Plant Teachers and have been running retreats all over Australia for the last 6 years. They are both Aussie bush kids who are now grandparents and elders of a large tribe of visionary wanderers, who travel around the country re-awakening the ancient Dreaming and song lines of the Australian continent. They both understood early in their work that consciousness is the field of creation and that to change the world people need to change their consciousness. Therefore their medicine work has focused not on healing per se but on equipping people to expand and liberate their consciousness. Their Retreats are not merely healing ceremonies but full weekends of ‘downloads’ of information and tools aimed at equipping people to regain their sovereignty and heal themselves. |

Margaret CrossReturn of the Divine Feminine This workshop has been envisaged as space for women to gather and discuss issues of importance to them within our community and to come up with some pragmatic methods to help encourage and support women in entering and participating as equal principals within the community. Some of the questions we will be exploring include: How do we bring this powerful force into all of our lives in Grace and balance for the good of All That Is? How do we bring healing to the people and create communities rich in balance and trust? How do we use the power of the Great Mother to heal and transform without once again creating an imbalance between the Masculine and the Feminine? These questions are of vital importance because as we begin this new journey in consciousness we can agree that balance between the Yin and the Yang of It is of primary Importance if we are to avoid future imbalances in the force. Margaret Cross was born in QLD in 1963 and raised a god fearing Catholic girl in a small country town blessed with an abundance of nature and scarcity of imagination. She has a Bac of Sec Education, Grad Dip in Women's Studies and a Masters in Criminology. After a rather dramatic spiritual awakening she was guided by spirit to explore the world of Shamanic plant Medicine. She has been working and training as a Plant Medicine/Shamanic Practitioner, Epiphanic Guide and Studying Common Law for the last 6 years. Her work is aimed at the liberation of consciousness and a return to Heart centered Vision and Creation. |

Robert Andrew WilkieInteractive I Ching Divination: A Shared Experience of the Book of Changes for Deepening of Celebration The I Ching is a fascinating vehicle for understanding Self and World and everything in between. It is, however both ancient and Chinese, and we in the west are still young adolescents in understanding this recently translated Chinese classic. As a group we will discover latent forces and relationships and bring them into awareness for the rest of the celebration. If you have an interest in the I Ching or are even unknown to the I Ching, come and sit in this session as we will go wherever we need to in order to access the simplicity and power of the present moment. We will lose ‘mental’ control over things and uncover whatever Change and Transformation is occurring, in the Realtime. We will firstly work out what Change and Transformation we are currently in as a group in celebration – Rainbow Serpent 2012 – as a community, and then to seek beyond the intellect and beyond coarser emotions and call out our question into the fundamental and pregnant emptiness that everything springs from for an echo that we can decipher and strive to feel and embody, and live out, and maybe learn something about ourselves and life in the process. Fascinated by the incredible and very different ideas that Taoist philosophy offers, Robert initially embarked on an intellectual journey into Taoism many years ago. He was fortunate to study under a Taoist academic for 2 years, but also unfortunate to be studying it all so academically. Robert gained invaluable inspiration and insight from the system of divination and the philosophy that the I Ching embodies. |

DR JOSEPH GELFERThe Masculinity Conspiracy It sometimes seems as if the debate over feminism is stuck in a rut. Feminists have spent decades offering a compelling argument about how power operates via patriarchy, and advocating for gender equality. At the same time, men’s rights activists believe men’s issues have been ignored at the expense of women’s, advocating for what they perceive as gender equality, which often results in a backlash against feminism. The Masculinity Conspiracy offers some new answers to old problems by viewing patriarchy (partially tongue-in-cheek) via the lens of conspiracy logic, which political scientist Michael Barkun claims is characterised by three assumptions: nothing happens by accident; nothing is as it seems; everything is connected. Rather than simply viewing patriarchy as something men do to women, The Masculinity Conspiracy suggests patriarchy is a power conspiracy which mobilises men to oppress women, but which paradoxically has little interest in men as individuals. By revealing the nature of the conspiracy it is hoped that men will realize that it is in theirs as well as women’s interest to overturn patriarchy, recasting the feminist agenda of liberation from a “women’s movement” to a “people’s movement”. Dr Joseph Gelfer is a masculinities researcher in the School of Political and Social Inquiry at Monash University, Australia. He is author of "Numen, Old Men: Contemporary Masculine Spiritualities and the Problem of Patriarchy" and editor of "Journal of Men, Masculinities and Spirituality" and "2012: Decoding the Countercultural Apocalypse" will be published later this year. |

John SeedCouncil of All Beings - Deep Ecology workshop The Council of All Beings is a series of re-Earthing rituals created by John Seed and Joanna Macy to help end the sense of alienation from the living Earth that many of us feel. This workshop will renew the spirit and vision of those who serve the Earth and connect participants with deep sources of joy, and inspiration. Many people intellectually realise that we are inseparable from nature and that the sense of separation that we feel is illusory. These rituals enable us to deeply experience our connection with nature, in our hearts and our bodies. Rediscovering our "deep ecology" - our interconnectedness with all beings, we find empowerment as agents of healing change. Through interactive exercises, we practice letting go of the socially constructed, isolated self and come home to our interexistence with all forms of life. We retrace our steps through our evolutionary journey and allow other life forms to speak through us. We shed our solely human identification and feel deep empathy for the myriad species and landscapes of the Earth. John Seed is founder and president of the Rainforest Information Centre. Since 1979 he has been involved in the direct actions which have resulted in the protection of the Australian rainforests. He has written and lectured extensively on deep ecology and has been conducting Councils of All Beings and other re-Earthing workshops around the world for 25 years. With Joanna Macy, Pat Fleming and Professor Arne Naess, he wrote "Thinking Like a Mountain - Towards a Council of All Beings" (New Society Publishers) which has now been translated into 10 languages. In 1995 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) by the Australian Government for services to conservation and the environment.

Corrine LutzAustralian Bush Flower Essences - Pick Your Own Essence Learn about the history of flower essences, how the essences are made, how they work, and how Ian White selects the flowers and makes the mother tinctures. I will speak about the doctrine of signatures, how the physical characteristics of flowers give an indication of what healing properties they have. I will group the flowers into chakras as a way of generally explaining what actions they have and go into more depth with some selected flowers. Then I will teach people how to choose an essence to take with them. I will provide the essences and prepared bottles. I first discovered flower essences as a student of Western Herbal Medicine, and I was so excited and surprised to learn about energetic medicine in a health science degree. The Australian Bush Flower essences really resonate with me, I picked up their meanings and uses very easily and quickly and can intuitively feel what essences would be beneficial for someone. Being Wiccan I use a number of tools provided by nature (including herbs, crystals, astrology and tarot) to discover underlying issues and promote healing. |

DarpanReclaiming Vision to Manifest a New Paradigm According to Darpan, there are no linear solutions to the moral, fiscal and environmental crisis we face today. All attempts to handle these issues with the old mindset seem doomed to an awful and protracted failure, giving rise to even greater disempowerment and confusion. As stultifying as this may seem, it is actually very good news. It provides the right conditions for the one element, which promises a dynamic solution to the insurmountable problems plaguing the planet. Human consciousness is notoriously asleep when things are comfortable, predictable and certain. In facing this challenge, the hero or initiate transcends ordinary awareness to be “reborn” into a new identity. Today, we face the very real possibility of global annihilation whether it be through the agency of war, nuclear fallout or natural catastrophe. It seems to me that these are necessary ingredients required to make the quantum leap of consciousness beyond what is already known into something entirely new, utterly discontinuous from the past. It is the firing of consciousness in the alchemical crucible. Once the polarity gap has been bridged and unity consciousness dissolves the illusory veils of separation, the world is made anew. Perception is everything. With fresh eyes, Existence will bend over backwards to deliver a new vision. Dan GoodenTerence McKenna and Reverse Engineering Consciousness At the beginning of history, as our ancestors began transitioning from an archaic culture to one of agriculture and settlement, the development of ego-centric consciousness was paralleled by the arrival of concepts that are taken for granted in the modern world; individualism and separation, property rights and commerce. Several thousands years later, the development of technology and worldwide communication nets is surfacing the core assumption of separation embedded in our culture. This talk will explore how behaviours of sharing and communal ownership can, along with Terence McKenna's ideas on language and technology, help us reverse engineer our consciousness and reprogram it towards higher functioning collective consciousness and awareness. Dan Gooden is a Sydney local exploring the power of technology and language to evolve culture and consciousness. He currently works with information technology and lives in Erskineville, Sydney. His current project is building a social network called sharedearth.net. At its most basic level it’s a web based social network to support humans in building trust, and sharing resources. At its heart is an intention to support us in rewriting our cultural stories to reflect our emerging experience of universal interconnection. |

Robin MutoidOur Year 2012 - 'The End'… A New Beginning… or Both? December 21st, 2012 is a date that many diverse schools are pinpointing as powerfully unique. Some factions are promoting it as the End of the World as we know it, others as the End of 'The Calendar'. This workshop addresses in mechanistic terms, exactly WHY this date is such a momentous one and in Spiritual terms, what may be required of us to successfully Ascend through it. It asks How the Mayan Indians, three thousand years ago, appear to have known things that we today, are only just beginning to rediscover. It questions whether this date is actually the ‘End’ of anything, and if so what. And whether perhaps it is also potentially the beginning of something entirely new to us! Robin is a visual Artist, co-founder of the 'Mutoid Waste Co' and a Mechanist. He has also researched and observed the subject of 'Exopolitics' develop over a number of years, with a view to further understanding and shedding light upon the probability that we may not be 'alone' in this Universe! He feels that it is time to now 'workshop' and share more widely and creatively of his views, in order that they may in their turn perhaps, assist a little in broadening both our horizons and also our potentials, as a Unified and fully conscious Universal Species. |

Even DawnIt's Time... Shift Happens! This is it, the Time of prophecy is upon us - we are here and 2012 is NOW. What's all the hype about? What more do you want to know about the cycles of our Sun, Moon, the Planets, Stars and Galaxy? Who on Earth knew this time was coming and what clues did they leave us to decode the current age? Even Dawn provides thought provoking topics in an easy to understand presentation, which is fun, informative and interactive. Based upon Jose Arguelles' Dreamspell calendar, Even has developed a hands-on system of teaching important aspects of Galactic Mayan time-science through a physically active sequence of warm-ups and postures she calls 'Mayan Movement'; which she will facilitate following the hour-long lecture presentation. Even Dawn has studied the significance of galactic culture for almost 10 years and channeled this fascination through digital media art; producing a perpetual 13 Moon wall almanac, artwork for calendars and journals and editing the Second Creation zine. As well as organising the Day Out of Time festivals in Northern NSW she has presented lectures and spoken on panels on the subject of 2012 at EGA, '2012 - Time for Change' screenings in Melbourne and Brisbane and at outdoor festivals Australia wide. Mayra Vivo Torres – e.gaia.netInternet Activism - Changing the world is suddenly possible Since the advent of the Internet social movements have been able to organise themselves internationally, engineering protests and actions at a scale with no precedent. The availability of information about global issues also makes it possible for a large part of the population to be aware of the challenges facing Gaia and our brothers and sisters in distant lands, leaving no option but to act. After a short introduction about the history of Internet Activism Mayra will introduce the concept of e-gaia.net. Then she will hopefully move from a mere lecture into a workshop/discussion, this time centred mainly about the environment, where ideas about current issues, organisations active in the ground, and campaigns where we can all make a difference will hopefully flow both ways. Some of the topics covered will be: the current state of play at the international climate negotiations, food and sustainability, a renewable energy outlook, and hopefully something on Australian biodiversity. Managing Director of Energy Solutions Consultancy and Founder of e-gaia, Mayra was the Keynote Speaker for Environment in Rainbow Serpent in 2008 ('Alternatives to a Carbon Dictatorship'). She has delivered workshops and lectures in festivals across Europe, including the Liminal Village at Boom festival, where she have been collaborating on most editions since 2000. |

Following the movie, there will be a discussion on the concepts covered, including Jacque Fresco's idea of a Resource-Based Economy: The Venus Project. Zeitgeist Melbourne is the Melbourne and Victoria Sub-Chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement. Founded in 2008, The Zeitgeist Movement is a movement free from religious and other dogmatic paradigms. It has no leaders, only coordinators and contributors. We will learn about timing and direction and terminology because to communicate our learning we must have a language to use, and then discover all the different ways your poi can move both alone and with its twin. Intermediate tricks that use these different kinds of movement will be taught as a fun way of demonstrating that new knowledge. After picking up poi for the first time in autumn of 2009, Ryan discovered a passion for performance art and a natural affinity for object manipulation that changed everything for him. His unique style, which bounces between precise and elegant to vibrant and ecstatic, has earned him a role as a leader and pillar of his community. Now the founder and director of Sola Fire Arts, a troupe based in Santa Barbara, California, he is deeply engaged in the flow arts as a true calling. As a performer, leader, teacher, and student, he trains obsessively to find grace, technique, and flow in his art and life. |

Josie JupiterThe Hoop and the Tree - A hoop dance meditation In this workshop we will explore the metaphor of the Hoop and the Tree as described by Chris Hoffman as The Hoop of Relationship and the Tree of Aspiration. What do these symbols represent to us and how can we use the metaphor as a method of healing, artistic expression, self-development and meditation? We will visualize the hoop as our relationships, community and family and the tree as our sense of self, our determination, individuality, strength and aspiration. We will meditate on how to keep our roots firm and our core solid when there are spiraling forces outside our control. Moving with our hoops we will learn how we can flow in rhythm with these external forces and use the spiraling energy to create art and beauty. Using a combination of blindfolded hoop dance meditation and improvised movement-play we will connect physically to the concepts discussed. Josie Jupiter is a hoop dancer, a fire performer and a teacher and runs Melbourne's Puzzle Dust Circus. |

Simon SliekerDance JOURNEYS - strive, delve, surrender Dance JOURNEYS - To strive, delve and surrender. The principle of the dance journey is simple: The wisdom that can most impact you is your own. It resides within; you only need access it. Dance and movement are a gateway. How you choose to traverse that gate and travel the path is the essence of the journey. Dance JOURNEYS is a combination of workshop presentation, guided dance, meditation and spoken word, propelled by a continuous mix of music. A multi genre ride of tribal drums, textures and tones blended live, in connection with the people present. Dance JOURNEYS opens you to the powerful interplay of inner vision, emotional contact and physical expression. Each of these energetic pivot points inspires growth, healing, insight and release. Each flows from, and into, the other, further deepening the experience. Dance JOURNEYS is to strive, delve and surrender and is deeply therapeutic. It is for those who are reaching for the unexplored parts of themselves; it is for those who have no such longing and those who would explore the flow of aural, emotional, physical sensation. If you know how to dance; forgetting what you know is a good starting point. Bring a blanket to lie on as a start and end point. Dance JOURNEYS is the vehicle through which participants are reaping the reward of one of Australia's premiere electronic DJ pioneers sharing the wisdom, philosophy and therapeutic benefit inherent in the sacred journey of dance. Simon Slieker's 16 year pursuit as a DJ and audio artist has been one of immersion into the dynamics of the dancefloor. His love of electronic music and dance culture is a lifelong exploration of the dance journey, that most particular undertaking, evocative of inner worlds and old wisdom accessed by the body in motion. To this end Simon has for the last year been developing and running Dance JOURNEYS, as a "coming of age" of his art; a therapeutic blend of workshop based, meditative dance and movement sessions. |

Damon EllisRainbow Serpent Judo Club The ‘Rainbow Serpent Judo Club’ provides an introductory demonstration, lesson and lecture emphasing Judo as a fun and healthy form of creative physical expression. Founded in 1882 by Jigoro Kano, Judo, or the "Way of Yielding" can be categorised as a martial art or as a modern competitive sport. However Judo in its true form has been described as not a physical fight, rather an expression of participants' spiritual energy generating physical power. Judo practice mainly revolves around throwing techniques (nage-waza), so how to fall from a throw is fundamental - basic breakfalls (ukemi) and their importance will be a key part of the lesson. Judo jackets and belts can be provided as needed but participants are welcome to bring their own uniforms if they have them. Mats for a warm up and practice area will also be provided. Participants should bring their own water and ensure they are hydrated. Those with prior Judo experience would of course be very welcome on the mat. A Judo exponent with over 12 years experience, Damon Ellis attended Rainbow Serpent in 2010 and, swept up in the spirit of communal exchange and enthusiasitc participation, I provided an impromptu Judo lesson. This year I came prepared with mats, uniforms and another Judo friend so that I could better demonstrate the graceful throws and breakfalls of Judo. At Rainbow 2012, I look forward to making this ‘Rainbow Serpent Judo Club’ official. |

Darwin Dance Collective: Alex Jordan with Lulu MadiLlThe Love Shack This fun but moving workshop will explore the feeling of love through movement, music, poetry and prose. We will begin with a movement exploration of the primary chakras or body centres where love gets caught up: the base chakra, the heart and the busy and interfering head. Where is your current focus? What do you find there? We’ll also explore some of the rhythms and sounds of love through body percussion, sound and voice. There will be spontaneous love poetry, letters and stories, fawning, fainting and falling into each other’s arms. The session will culminate in the development of a ‘love-scape’ built from the sounds and movements discovered throughout the session. Alexandra Jordan is a dance movement therapist and improviser with over eight years experience in assisting people of diverse ages and cultural backgrounds to find new adventures in moving. She is a founding member and key facilitator of the Darwin Dance Collective, a wonderfully hot and sticky force of playfulness. She currently dances in the day primarily with women and children from refugee backgrounds. Alex's dance background stretches back to free-form creative dance classes in the Adelaide Hills in the early 80s, and has traversed a wide range of movement adventures in the interim. She is trained in improvised and authentic movement, dance movement therapy, body mind centering, and physical storytelling. She is now a dance movement therapist and improvisational dance artist based in Darwin. She is passionate about using movement as a portal to understanding and transformation for all people no matter how much you ‘think you can dance’. |

KIMMY O’MEARALaughter Yoga Laughter Yoga is a series of fun activities that induce laughter. Laughter connects us all and when we are laughing negative thoughts can’t enter your mind. The brain doesn’t know the difference between real laughter and fake so after 3mins endorphins are released and before you know it your having a big belly laugh! It boosts the immune system, releases pain killers into the blood stream and reduces stress which causes many diseases. Laughter really is "The Best Medicine"! Kim has been doing Laughter Yoga for 6 years now and this will be her 5th Rainbow year. I have just returned from Rwanda in Africa after 3 months of using Laughter Yoga as a wellbeing activity for Genocide Survivors and A.I.D.S affected families. The results have been so miraculous, the Rwandans are creating a Laughter Yoga club there! Laughter contributed to her recovery of a life threatening immune disease, which was to take her life by 2003. Clearly she’s way past her "use by date"! HAHA! |

Aly De GrootUnderwater Basket Weaving Weave and manifests your hopes and dreams for positive change using ghost nets amongst other recycled man-made debris. These nets, which are so named as they continue fishing without human hands, can sometimes be kilometers long, and are the refuse from fishing vessels from throughout the world, washing up on the beaches and bringing with it much of our marine life. Learn basic contemporary basketry techniques to make a Ghost Net Basket. These baskets are, in actuality, often dysfunctional as utilitarian objects, with their main purpose being to prevent the nets and other man-made clutter from contributing further to environmental injury. As an Australian contemporary basket maker and recipient of a Charles Darwin University PhD Post Graduate Scholarship, Aly is focusing on environmental and social issues in regards to basketry. She was interested to discover that the term ‘underwater basket weaving’ is used to depict ‘easy’ degrees that have no valuable educational content. Aly questions this notion, as she values the inspiration and knowledge gained and exchanged through formulating ideas and projects which can inspire and educate people, using readily available materials such as ghost nets that may otherwise be an environmental threat. |
