Application Update
If you've applied to be a volunteer and are wondering what's next, here's the low down.
We accept some volunteers into our teams pre-christmas. These are usually people who've applied between September and November - if you're one of these people you'll get an email letting you know what's next.
If you applied in this time frame and haven't heard back by Friday 23rd December, you should get an email asking you to opt in if you're still available - that is, if we find a spot for you in January are you still going to be keen & able to make the festival (we understand forward planning is essential, but sometimes, with the ever snaking beast that is Rainbow Serpent, we can never be sure exactly who we're going to need until doors open!)
If you apply in December and January, we are unlikely to respond to your application until the 2nd week of January (unless you have the perfect skills we're looking for to fill the gaps in our schedules). You will receive an email at this point letting you know if your application has been successful or not.
FAQs
I wanna work with my friends: no problem just list the details in the application and we'll do our best to accommodate you - sometimes it's worth noting which is the priority - working for a ticket or working with a mate, helps us find just the right spot for you.
I need to know if I should get a ticket: Yes, get a ticket !! All volunteers buy a ticket and are then reimbursed for the hours you do into your bank account within 14 days of the festival. The sooner you get your ticket the cheaper it'll be.
I applied ages ago why haven't I heard yet: Yes, we know and we fully appreciate your patience. We have hundreds of applications to process and try to find the perfect role for each person. We'll let you know as soon as we can!

Rainbow Serpent Festival application to Work for a Ticket
Rainbow Serpent Festival will be taking place on our beautiful Lexton site on the weekend of January 27th-30th January 2012. It takes an extraordinary number of dedicated people to put on a festival such as this and we really appreciate you wanting to be one of those people.
Thanks to all who've already applied to volunteer at previous years at Rainbow Serpent Festival, we can’t put on the incredible event such as Rainbow, without you!!!
There are many vacancies to fill, so please state what you are most interested in and where your talents are best used. However with the immense talent that makes up our community, you can’t be guaranteed you will get a position doing what you love.
IMPORTANT:
We require everyone to buy a ticket up front and then you will be paid for completing your shifts at the festival.
