After learning to play piano at the age of 8 and guitar at 15, Charles played in various college rockbands before studying sound engineering at the European cinematography high school "La Femis" in Paris. He's also working as a Mastering engineer 

 

Why the Solead project ? 

 

Maybe it was first of all cause of a very long friendship which brought our 2 producers to team up in various musical projects very early on in their careers. Before producing electronic music they started to play guitar and keyboards in a rock band after 10 years of studying musical theory.

 

Their Solead project is about Techno beats & Electro-House through various styles between Electronica and Downtempo music. Between them they released, as separate projects, 4 albums and more than 80 tracks. Among various remixes from Beauty School songs (ex E.M.F band) and dancefloor stompers like « 3rd Contact » (released on Vitalic’s label Citizen), they reached the top charts with the remix they did for Fingertwister "I remember jah" on Chillosophy Music, and no doubt they will hit again soon with their next tunes.

 

They also played in major festivals ; among them, the Roskilde Festival in Denmark with such artists as Björk and the Beastie Boys. They also performed live sets all around the globe, in Europe, Australia, South Africa, North and South America, and Asia.
