Applicants will be notified via email by Tuesday 10th January 2012 as to whether accreditation has been successful.

As you can imagine a festival the size of Rainbow Serpent is inundated each year with requests for media and photography accreditation. Unfortunately we are unable to fulfill all requests as we have a limited number of accreditations at our disposal. To assist us in ensuring the right people receive accreditation we have developed an online application procedure.

Please read the following information very carefully and then proceed to filling in the online application form.

Who is eligible for accreditation?

Accreditation is granted to critics and journalists covering music, arts and culture on a regular basis. Accreditation is granted only to professionals assigned by recognised media to cover the festival.

Application Deadline.

Tuesday 20 December 2011.
Successful applicants will be notified via email Friday 6 January 2012.

Using The Pass

The pass is necessary to enter the staging area to photograph (strictly no flash) or in some cases interview the bands and DJ’s.  Please note a valid ticket either paid or complimentary will be required to gain access to Rainbow Serpent Festival.  If you have secured a complimentary ticket it will be sent to you with your pass.

Television journalists wishing to film at the event will need to request clearance from Rainbow Serpent Festival for any artists they wish to film and abide by all individual artist requirement/parameters.

Photography rules may be subject to change on the day of the event, according to the requirements of individual artists.  Please take direction from stage managers and crew at all times.

It is mandatory to have your pass with you at all times during your coverage of the festival. The accreditation pass is strictly personal and not transferable. In case of misuse, it will be confiscated. The accreditation card will not be replaced in case of theft or loss. The media pass is valid only for this year's edition of the festival.

Only Complete Requests Will Be Accepted

Only the requests complying with all conditions mentioned on this form shall be accepted. Rainbow Serpent Festival must receive a COMPLETED FORM in order to process the request.

Freelancers

Freelancers will not be accredited unless they are assigned by recognised media and meet all other requirements.

Rainbow Serpent Festival reserves the right to refuse or withdraw accreditation at any time.

Authorisation and Waiver

If this Accreditation is approved an Accreditation Pass will be issued by Rainbow Serpent Festival for the sole purpose of providing limited access to the designated holder ('the Holder') during The Event.

This Accreditation Pass is personal, non‐transferable and revocable at any time at the Marketing Directors sole discretion.Unauthorized use, alteration or dealing with this Accreditation Pass may result in the temporary or permanent removal of the Accreditation Pass and the possessor's and/or the Holder's ejection from the premises.The Holder assumes all risks incidental to his/her actions, assumes all risks incidental to his/her attending The Event, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers from any and all claims, damages, losses, costs and liabilities including, without limitation, personal injuries and/or property losses, caused by, resulting from or in connection with his/her presence at The Event.

The Holder may not broadcast, publicise or make commercial use of any visual or audio media of any kind of the Event if it breaches any licensing contracts agreed to by Rainbow Serpent Festival. The Holder also recognizes that he/she must immediately report the theft, loss or unauthorised use of the Accreditation Pass.   Acceptance of an Accreditation Pass constitutes agreement by the Holder of the foregoing conditions.
