Hello and welcome to the Rainbow Serpent Festival Healing/Market Village! As you may be aware the Festival has been running for over 10 years now and has been highly regarded in the public eye above all because we put on a great show and don't cut corners for the sake of making a buck!. The iconic RSF Market Village has become a major draw-card for the festival attendees, it is well known for great alternative products, attractive decorations, and warm customer service. The Healing Village alike has grown enormously in popularity and quality over the years offering inspirational spoken word and performance art, soulful music and healing workshops. To date the healing aspect has been purely a free workshop function however we are pleased to now extend the market village to incorporate professional healing services. This will be a designated section that connects the healing village with the market village. There are both healing and market stages which run music for the duration of the festival so this section will have a very high level of thoroughfare.
- Event Details
Since 1999, we have hosted the event in Beaufort, Victoria which is past Ballarat (approx. 2 hours drive from Melbourne). We've grown to love the place and can't quite seem to let go. The weather is (almost) always great and the town-folk love us.
The dates for the 2008 event are 25th-28th January. The event will kick off at about 5pm on the Friday and (officially) close at about 6pm on the Monday.
The attendance levels have steadily increased over the years, with approx 7000 people attending in 2007, and with some huge acts booked and presale tickets selling well, we are certainly expecting this figure to increase again in 2008. The event running for 4 days is another reason market vendors profit well and hence many keep coming back year after year.
- Fees
The healing market fee structure is as follows:
3-4m (wide) x 4m (deep) stall = $330
5-8m (wide) x 4m (deep) stall = $440
*The site fee includes 2 tickets to the event. $125 tickets for extra staff can be purchased along with stall payment.

- The widths are for shop frontage only, any ropes and pegs must not exceed .5m from each side of this width.
- The depth should include working space.
- Accurate dimensions need to be specified at the time of application.
- Facilities
We provide power, water, waste disposal, toilets and the customers. You will need to bring everything else.

- Important Terms & Conditions
* Current Registrations, Licences or Professional Qualification documents as well as a $10,000,000 Public Liability insurance policy must be held on site for inspection.
* Rainbow Serpent takes pride in its environment policy. With the aim to significantly reduce carbon emissions, we will be enforcing the use of biodegradable cutlery & crockery of the food & beverage vendors; using bio-fuel to power the generators; have a glass/aluminium recycling system; operate an innovative compostable toilet system, and strongly promote environmental responsibility to the punters. If your stall uses or distributes any products with unnecessary excess packaging, please respect this policy and limit or refrain from using these products.
* Market vendors are permitted to trade and stay camped over night on the Monday (after official close) however you must vacate by Tuesday afternoon. This has been a problem in the previous two years, please respect this request.
* Site fees are payable in full and up-front after your application is accepted. Your application is not confirmed until payment has been recieved. We have reached capacity before and have had to deny applications so it is advised to get in early.
* Stalls positions are on a first come, first served basis. Some stall sites will have parking and/or camping space behind stalls but not all, so if this is a requirement I advise you arrive early to ensure a suitable position. Alternative camping and parking will not be too far away from the market area. You may arrive as early as Wednesday afternoon (23rd) to secure your position.
* Any vendors that arrive at the festival without prior registration will either be refused or placed in a low exposure area and charged the applicable fee.
