Hello and welcome back to the RSF Market Village. Thanks for your ongoing involvement - the market has become a major festival attraction and it's thanks to your great products, attractive decorations, and your warm personalities. Keep it up - you're doing great! Please take a few moments to read the following new and important information.

- Event Details

Again, we will be hosting the event in Beaufort, we've grown to love the place and can't quite seem to let go. The weather is (almost) always great and the town-folk love us.

The dates for the 2008 event are 25th-28th January. The event will kick off at about 5pm on the Friday and (officially) close at about 6pm on the Monday.

The attendance levels have steadily increased over the years, with approx 7000 people attending in 2007, and with some huge acts booked and presale tickets selling well, we are certainly expecting that to increase again in 2008.

 

- New Conditions

*The 2008 event has upgraded its environment policy. With the aim to significantly reduce carbon emissions, we will be enforcing the use of biodegradable cutlery & crockery of the food & beverage vendors, using bio-fuel to power the generators, streamlining our recycling system, continuing the use of compostable toilets, as well as strongly promoting environmental responsibility to the punters. If your stall uses or distributes any products with unnecessary excess packaging, please respect this policy and limit or refrain from using these products.


*Stalls positions are again on a first come, first served basis. You may arrive as early as Wednesday afternoon (23rd) to secure your position.

*Market vendors are permitted to trade and stay camped over night on the Monday (after official close) however you must vacate by Tuesday afternoon. This has been a problem in the previous two years, please respect this request.

- Fees

The fee structure introduced in 2007 worked quite well so we have decided to leave it as is:

2-3m (wide) x 4m (deep) stall = $330
4-6m (wide) x 4m (deep) stall = $440


The site fee includes 2 tickets to the event. $125 tickets for extra staff can be purchased along with stall payment.

Please Note:
- The above widths are for shop frontage only, any ropes and pegs must not exceed .5m from each side of this width.
- The depth should include working space. As always, many market sites have space for camping behind but not all. If this is not a requirement for you, you may have more choice of positions.
- Accurate dimensions need to be specified at the time of application.

 

- Facilities

We provide power, water, toilets and the customers. You will need to bring everything else.

 

- Deadlines

Applications - January 14th
Payments (in full and non-refundable) - January 16th


* Remember your application is not confirmed until payment has been received. We have reached capacity before and have had to deny applications so it is advised to get in early.
* Any stall that arrives without prior permission will either be refused or placed in a low exposure area and charged the applicable fee.
