The Rainbow Outdoor Cinema blasts its way back into the galaxy for the 8th consecutive year as we indulge fellow serpents with visual treats to satisfy all senses …..and beyond featuring the Australian premier screening of ‘Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock’ and a fascinating portrait of visionary artist Alex Grey.

**Friday January 26th**

8.30pm - Milo Minderbenders Musak Movies

10.30pm – Premier Screening - Burning Man: Beyond Black Rock (2005)
Screened in Australia for the first time, this provocative feature film documentary explores the philosophy that fuels the Burning Man Festival.

Renowned teacher and visionary artist Alex Grey discusses his artistic vision, life experiences, metaphysical journeys, sacred teachings, and painters that have influenced his work.

1.30am - The Drug Years (2006)
Screened at Rainbow in 2007 and back by popular demand, this terrific revealing portrait about the drugs epidemic and how drugs were displayed in the media during the late 60's and on through the 70's includes amazing footage of  Woodstock, Easy Rider, The Beatles, The Death of Morrison, Hendrix, Joplin etc..

2.30am - Deadlier Than the Male (1967)

9.00pm -Renegade aka Blueberry(2003)
Screened at Rainbow in 2004, this is the first and only psychedelic Western about a man, Blueberry, who unites with the natives who raised him. This is a powerful and very visual film guaranteed to stimulate the senses in every way!

11.00pm - Sadiserotica (1969)
Cult, campy detective thriller oozing with 60’s sex-a-delic action as two scantily clad female detectives solve a possible murder.

12.30am - Performance (1970)
Androgyny, sexuality, mushrooms and a rock n’ roll superstar all collide in a performance that captures the spirit of 60’s psychedelica.
 
2.00am - Yellow Submarine (1968)
A vibrate drug-free, hallucinogenic journey for the armchair tripper and a surreal feast for both the eyes and ears: phantasmagorical creatures, outrageous landscapes, and splendid colors.

3.30am - Logan’s Run (1976)
A stylish sci-fi film set in the 23rd century which has one major drawback: life must end at 30

5.00am - Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970)
Hot amazons, camp, melodrama, dancing, cool music, orgies, and dopey pill popping late 60's acid pop style.
